Happy Birthday Brenna

Today was Brenna's 23 birthday.  She was with the Teen Challenge staff and students.  They were at Lakewood Park bible camp.  I went there late in the afternoon.  It was special to me to see her on her birthday.  I don't think we have been together on her birthday since she was a really little girl.  I am going to try and find a photo of her from then.  Happy Birthday Brenna.

I was noticing a toy that lays in the little office at the back of the house.  It is a long stick with a little can attached to the end, and attached to the end of the stick right by the can is a string and a rubber ball.  It brought back memories.  One that I need to tell you.  When I was in high school, some families had parties, or should I say some of the young people had parties and parents weren't there.  I was invited to one, and part way into the evening, some of the guys came who had been drinking, and a few girls drank, too.  Because of the way it was at home I didn't feel very comfortable in the situation.  I didn't go to any more parties like that.  But my parents had a party in our home.

 They may have had several parties.  I have pictures from those events.  I remember that they were there, they made games, like the one I described at the beginning.  I think that everyone had a good time. 

I recognize Ronnie Lunde and larry Erickson in the top photo.  You recognize it is in the "porch"  The photo at the right is Janice Hoiland, Kaye Simon, Bonnie Dahl, and Betty Tunseth.






You recognize the living room at the farm.  The photo was taken looking down from the stairway.  I don't know what they used for music, but they were dancing.  That is a memory that I share with you tonight.
