Dependence on God
We are made partakers of Christ, if we hold...our confidence stedfast unto the end. Hebrews 3:14

Do not walk carelessly, nor lay out your own paths on which to travel. You cannot know what lies in the distance. So walk closely with Me, that you may be able to draw quickly upon My aid. No matter how well-developed your faith is, never think for a moment that you need My support any less. Move forward with courage and confidence, but always allow Me to walk ahead, and choose the right path.

Things just go better when I ask for God's help and allow him to direct my path.  But it is such a learning process to let go and let God.....

Father, we give you this day and ask for your guidance in what we do.  In Jesus Name. Amen

Yesterday, it seems that it was a busy day at school, with the testing and helping students with their online foods class, after school I went to country school house to get things ready for students coming tomorrow.  Then I painted on house, the top layer is done except for part on north side, I haven't figured how I can do that.  Dad had mowed at school and he and Chuck were combining, though the grain isn't dry.  It was really frosty yesterday morning.  Today is a busy day, I am to go with students to votech at Devils Lake.

Do Not Gather Fire
Can a man take fire in his bosom, and his clothes not be burned?  Proverbs 6:27

Have I not said you should pray much that you might not enter into temptation?
I desire always to help, but many pray too late; for by their own careless actions they have placed their feet in a slippery path, and the results are almost inevitable.
Do not gather fire into your garments and pray not to be burned, nor take up a serpent and ask for protection. Give the devil wide berth, and spare the soul much unnecessary anguish.

What are we doing that could be sin opening a door and getting a hold on our life?  I think of how alcoholics will tell that they were an alcoholic from the first drink they took.  They opened a door, and could never keep it closed after that, but there are many other doors that could do the same, viewing something on computer, or tv, reading something, saying something,  the possibilities are endless.  There is a verse that tells us to avoid the presence of evil.  What is something that God would have you to aviod?

Yesterday we started testing at school. I read a test to a student.  Had some dialogue with a coupld of teachers, after school did more preparation for hunters. and dug some Iris roots, it is rather chilly here, so I brought in some of the flower pots and did some rearranging in the pots.

another thought

This is a verse that I just read, could this be your prayer today?

Direct my footsteps according to your word; let no sin rule over
me.

Inner Strength and Outer Action
He that covereth his sins shall not prosper, but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. proverbs 28:13  Integrity and devotion have always been indispensable virtues. I say to you that in this hour of apathy and decline when the very foundations of mankind's moral structures are crumbling, you need to be more diligent than ever to find and to keep your own personal inner strength and to allow it to manifest in outer action.

Amen!!!!  Daily we see our countrys moral foundation collapsing,  these last months it has been especially evident.  I reflect on things that were unheard of when I was young or accepted and noone bats an eye, but the word of God has not changed, God stills says they are sin, and we as a country will pay and are paying for our choices.  But what does that mean to you and me, Hang in there, focus on God's love and grace, seek his will and desire for our life, occupy til I come.  Be in tuned to what God is saying to you, listen to his voice and follow his instructions.  What you are hearing does it align with the word of God?  Is it going to draw you to God or away from him.  We are living in serious times, and knowing and following God is our only hope.

Father, open our eyes that we may see, that we may listen and that we may follow your leading in our lives. In Jesus Name. Amen

Yesterday was church and Sunday School, and after getting our usual lunch, we drove home, a nap felt good.  I spent time outside in the flower beds, digging up the iris and transplanting them.  The weather has really changed it was cool and windy.

 Have a great day!

Patience and Perfection
Let patience have her perfect work. James 1:4
Patience is not a matter of forethought nor self-control. It will manifest itself quite naturally and without effort when the soul is rid of all resentment against imperfection. Purity of heart is possible but perfection is a word that could have been used to describe only a few rare souls, and then only relatively.
The only way you can make any reasonable progress toward perfection is by committing your entire life into My hands and realizing it is I who live within you and effect whatever changs are made.

I don't believe there is anyone who is perfect, and lest one think he is, he will fall. but God is doing a work in each one of us, and as we yield he will make those changes in us.

Father, create in me a clean heart oh God and renew in me a right spirit.  In Jesus Name. Amen.

Friday afternoon, Colleen, Mary and I drove to Bismarck, after we got settled into our room, we went to the motel where the meeting (ladies retreat) was being held, Julie met us there, we all ate together at a banquet, the girls from Teen Challenge were there and they sang and shared testimonies.  We then had a speaker.  Saturday, there were two more sessions, we ate together and went to where Julie works.  She sent us home with cupcakes, bread and some cheesecake and bread pudding.  It was very tasty.  Today is another day, and we trust it is a good day for you.

The Spiritual House
We are labourers together with God:ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.
1 Corinthians 3:9
Each life is like the building of a house. Much labor is required in preparing the foundation. I build slowly and carefully, and you need patience, for years may pass before the superstructure of your spiritual house begins to take shape.
The swiftness with which I build is determined by your reception of truth. Truth assimilated generates creativity. Obedience practiced generates productivity. Therefore, a teachable spirit and determined desire to do My will hastens the working of My purposes in you.

The results really do depend upon our willingness to respond, it seems we are stubborn, dense, whatever so that makes the spiritual growth take time.

God help us to yield, to understand, to listen, to respond.  In Jesus. Name. Amen.

Yesterday afterschool, I burned some piles of grass at O'Brien house then I went to town to see the printing stone now that they have it there.  One of the students has been telling me about his grandpa's old pickup so I drove by to see that and then came home.  I painted the south wall upstairs, it was a beautiful day  I leave at noon for women's treat at Bismarck, so I won't be here tomorrow morning.  You all have a good weekend.

Purity of Motive
Though I have all faith...and have not charity, I am nothing  1 Corinthians 13:2

Regardless of how sacred may be the nature of a ministry, it may be marred by a heart that is selfish or impure. Whatever does not spring out of pure love becomes only a hollow noise.  Let those who desire to serve continually offer up a yielded vessel that I may fill it with love. Only thus is it possible for any man to enter into the activity of the Spirit of God in a way that furthers the divine purpose.

What are our motives?  How many times have the motives originally been pure, but along the way self got in the way, and it became an"I" experience.  the same is true of ministries, they likely did start out pure and honest and holy, but somewhere along the way the leadership desired to become more famous, more in control and the vision and purpose was lost.  What does it say to us?  What are our motives right here in our homes?  Are we putting Christ first in our lives?

Father, search our hearts and our motives, lead us in the way you would have us to go.  In Jesus Name. Amen.

Yesterday, after school I went to Cando and cleaned church and then went to Bible Study, there were 14 there, the numbers are growing,  Dad missed because of work in the field.  He got to see Matt Neidlinger who is visiting his Grandma.  Matt and his wife have bought a boat,  their site is www.sailfreeingwe.com  if you want to see who they are and what they are doing.  Matt's dad was Vern and he was about Dad and my age.  This morning the cat was playing with a mouse, I got a hammer and wanted to get it but the cat let it go, so I got some traps, hope we have caught it by night.  Have a great day!!

Blessing in Adversity
Sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed. Romans 8:18
Adversities are a necessity. They are part of the pattern of life's pilgrimage for every individual; and who can escape them? But I say to you, that for those who walk in Me, and for those who are encircled by the intercessory prayers of My children, I will make of the suffering, yes, I will make of the trials a steppingstone to future blessing (see 2 Corinthians 4:17, 18)
My arms are around you, and never have I loved you more!

2 Corinthians 4:17,18 says: For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us as eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

Yesterday, a person with roots to Hampden was picked up for having sex with a 14 year old, I feel a real sense of hurt for his parents, a few weeks ago it was a boy who had graduated from Starkweather last year, he was picked up for child pornography, again I felt for the hurt his parents must have felt.  This morning I am thinking about the night of Rick Dahl's accident, it was a really tough night for Dad and I we just couldn't go to sleep we hurt so bad,   I sense that these parents must feel like that/ or iniatially feel that way.    Think of all the hurts that are happening aorund us, how many are experiencing feelings that cut to the core and hurt so bad, maybe a broken home, the death of a child, or situations like these that seem to never go away.  We are all going to experience things like this that hurt, but God is there for our hurts, and he wants to walk with us through them.

Father, we lift those people today to you who are hurting and it just doesn't seem to go away.  Give us a compassionate heart toward what they are experiencing and toward them, remembering that sometime we may need that compassion in our lives.  In Jesus Name. Amen.

Yesterday, was a usual day, after school I cleaned some at O'Briens and also raked some of the yard, hope to burn the grass one of these days.

The Door Is Open
A great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries 1 Corinthians 16:9

My child, the door is open. You shall go through by My grace and in My strength. Never gauge the possibilities of victory by examining your own strength. I am your Life, your Purity, your Wisdom, and your Strength. You have built faith for many years through a knowledge of and confidence in My Word. Now, I say unto you, put it into operation by walking in the path of action.
Move out, and trust Me as you go.

Wow, what encouraging words, God is there, he is doing this in our life, if we fight it, we hurt, if we yield we may experience pain but we will know that he is in it.  I encourage you this day to open up your hands and say 'here am I, use me."

Father, thank you for the confidence we can have in you, thank you that you are leading and guiding our steps, we give you this day and thank you for guiding us.  In Jesus Name.  Amen.

It was a busy day at school, but in the end I feel good about it, sent a student to the office, wouldn't let someone go home, thankful for the support of the staff and leadership.  Helping students get into foods class, desiring that they become more independent in the class. and some are.

Stopped at Larry and Ione's house with an old newspaper I had borrowed, came home and slept baked some cupcakes for a study hall, they had requested, it is a new recipe and not real impressed.

The Larger Life
I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 2 Corinthians 12:9

Never let your inadequacies be a handicap. Give them to Me, and they will become My opportunity to demonstrate My power operating through you. I would never have a chance to help you if you were always self-sufficient and capable of meeting every challenge.
Be ready to move in faith every time you sense inadequacy, and in each experience, as you trust Me, you will experience what is meant by "the large life." I will fill all your lack with My divine undertaking.

The world wants to show us that they can do it by themselves, but God wants to be a part of what we do, he wants to show us our need for him and a need to seek his help and guidance.  Sometimes we really struggle to let go and let God.

This weekend I have felt something like that in my life, God showing me, no, this isn't the way I want to do it, yield to me and let me lead.

Father, thank you for your patience, and your grace.  and your desire for what is best in our lives, help us to yield to you, so you can guide us.  In Jesus Name. Amen.

Yesterday, our District Supt. Leon Freitag and his wife Diane were with us for our morning worship.  We had a fellowship dinner afterwards.  We rested here at home and mowed the O'Brien lawn, it looks like a hay field.  I am trying to get it cleaned for hunters.

Salvation
Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Philippians 2:12-13
When you are conscious of spiritual weakness, do not wait for Me to move upon you to effect a change from without, but assume the responsibility for your weakened condition as though you were indeed your own saviour. In the self-same moment, My grace will do the rest!
Wholeness is the product of the Spirit, but it cannot come until your own desire sets it in motion.

We need to see our need and then respond, as long as we think everything is o.k. we don't seek God, but when he backs us into a corner then we have no choice, how disappointing that we aren't willing vessels.

Father, show me your ways for my life, lead me in the way you desire for me to go. In Jesus Name, Amen

Yesterday, I left early int he morning and drove to FaHoCha, I had a mission that was to leave the furniture at camp and to clean out the deepfat frier and put things away in the kitchen.  Mission accomplished!  The sofa and chair look really good in their new home.  The kitchen is ready for winter for all that I can do.  I came home and stopped by the O'Brien house, the guys have left and I got the laundry and garbage and came home.  It was a beautiful day, so after a coffee time with Seniors in town I mowed the lawn, and as usually I always find branches to burn,  so that is what I did.  Dad was swathing.  It was a beautiful day.

God's Purpose
Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is God. Matthew 19:17
God's purpose in making you holy involves His own glory. He is not waiting to hear you called holy; He is listening to hear you call Him holy. He is not interested in making you a reputation, but in making you a disciple.
The rich young ruler flattered Jesus by addressing him as "good master." and Jesus rebuked him, pressing upon him the necessity to decide either to not call him good, or to acknowledge His deity. How then can he be pleased that one should desire such a reputation?

Its not about me, its about God, its not about you its about God, it isn't easy to let go of our desires and to put God's desires first.  We might have to evaluate, Does this really glorify God, or does it glorify me?  He is working in us to change that.......

Yesterday I had doctor appointment in Grand Forks, Jack took me, and appointment went o.k. I know that I am o.k for now.  We got somethings and were home by 3:30  Jack went swathing and I painted the outside of the deck, it looks a lot better.  I am also creating a bit of a flower bed along the airplane hanger.  I don't like the way it looks right now.  We found some crumbled rubber(similar to chips of rock) and I am going to use that there.

The Father's Husbandry
I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman John 15:1
Faith, meekness, temperance are fruits that mature slowly, and they are perfected by the careful husbandry of the Father. The faith which is produced within you as fruit of the Holy Spirit is a faith operating in the life of the believer to the end that he becomes a productive vehicle for the doing of the Father's work. And this fruit of meekness goes beyond mildness of temperament, even to an acceptance of injustice.  It is not only patient, but gracious.

It doesn't happen fast, just as some plants/trees don't grow fast or mature fast, it is the same with the spiritual fruit in our lives, it isn't instant, it takes work, and God does a lot of pruning in the process.

Father, what work do you want to do in us, to prune us and shape us into the kind of fruit that you can use.  Help us this day to desire to be a fruitful Christian, and to be willing to listen to your calling to us.  In Jesus Name. Amen.

Yesterday, school, and at home I painted til I ran out of paint, you are going to be surprised at how it looks,  For a while I was cleaning out weeds by the shop and airplane hanger, I want to make those areas just a bit more attractive.

Today I have appointment in Grand Forks.  What you are doing for lunch Jacqui and Alicia?

The Fruits of the Spirit
The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faithful, meekness, temperance. Galations 5:22-23

My presence within you, My divine life, operating in your human heart, creates the fruits of the Spirit.
It is not by self-effort that these heavenly attributes are brought forth. Verily the fruits of the Spirit are not native to the world.
Love, joy, and peace; these were natural to Jesus, but they are foreign to man's fallen nature. I am able to bring them forth even from your inmost being as you allow Me to live in you.

The fruit of the spirit is something God does in us, and we can't understand how it happens, it is a miracle.  It involves seeking God, and that is really all there is to it.  He has to do the rest.

Father, help me to be a willing vessel, willing to yield to your choices for my life.  In Jesus Name. Amen.

Yesterday after school I went to Cando and cleaned the church and then met Jack at Bible Study.

Beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord. (we) are changed into the same image. 2 Corinthians 3:18
Recognition, My Child, brings Me into focus. Your motives concern Me; for I know that from pure motives spring good works.
Recognition is the sight I give your inner eye to discern distortion of My image in your own character. I would have your personality patterns display My character, and wherever this fails to be so, there is distortion of the image, and as others look to you for guidance and inspiration, they do not see a clear image of Me.

God wants us to be like him, he is working in us to make us into his own image, it doesn't easily happen it takes work and effort, just as it is difficult to prune a tree, it is difficult for God to prune us.  Really we are stubborn, strong willed, want our own way, don't want to listen to God's instructions.....but he patiently waits there for us, and draws us to himself.  How much of God do we really want?  How close to him do we want to be?

Father, we give you this day, guide our steps and direct our paths and make yourself real to us, help us to listen to your voice and to follow in your steps.  In Jesus Name. Amen

Yesterday, part of the high school was away for career day, so it was quiet, today more students will be away.  But that is just the way it is and they are having good experiences.  I came home and painted some more, it is looking good.

Challenge and Growth
This kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting    Matthew 17:21
In all the challenges of life. My hand is outstretched to give you courage. No stress need overwhelm if your confidence is in Me. To lean upon the arm of flesh brings certain disaster.  When the Psalmist penned, "From the Lord comes my help." he excluded all other sources. Effective faith is born of total consecration. My Spirit alone can bring forth this kind of dedication and inner strength.
Continual challengs bring constant growth.
Hold before Me at all times a heart that prefers instruction to comfort.

What is happening in your life that you don't like?  Has God allowed it to draw you to him?  In Sunday School, we were talking about someone who is very old and wants to die.  Michael said God maybe keeping people like that here to see how we respond to them, whether we are compassionate to them.  So what is happening for you that God is waiting with open arms to take you to his side and comfort and strengthen you.

Yesterday was school.  every day there are challenges and every day there are joys, After school I enjoyed the day outside painting on the garage.  It is getting close to done.

A Way-Preparer
Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong. 1 Corinthians 16:13
Be tolerant of all, at whatever stage of spiritual development they may be, but do not set your standards by theirs. I am moving, and I want you to be a way-preparer. Get into the front ranks, and hold your position. Never flinch. Certainly I can expect you never to turn coward and flee!
Give Me the privilege of sustaining you in the dangerous position. Think you not that I am well able to keep you there and adequately supply every needed grace?

I think it is self explanatory.  Do not look at what others are doing as a guide, but listen to the voice of God and what he is telling you to do.  He is your example.

Yesterday we had Sunday School and church, and afterwards we put things in place for open house and went to eat.  After we ate we had a farewell party for Vernon and Alice Carlson.  They left later that day for Fargo to visit family and then to eventually go on to their home in Arizona.  They have sold their home in Cando and in the spring their plan is to move to Fargo.  After we had things done there, We came home and rested.  I enjoyed some time in the flower beds.  I cleaned out and replanted some Iris that I got from Jacqui.  There are more places that I want to change.  Jack went and visited with Frank and Dorothy.  I had been there yesterday, so felt it was good for him to go by himself.  It was a good day.

Sincerity
He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him Hebrews 11:6
Of the flesh, nothing spiritual can ever be produced.
This is why I said I loathed your sacrifices. It was not that I despised the ordinance in itself, but I perceived that it was an expression of self-righteousness, showing your indifference to the claim of God upon your heart.
My ordinances are to be entered into with deep sincerity and with awareness of their true significance. To sacrifice in carelessness and ignorance is to damage your own soul. Let your spirit never become callous.

Sometimes I wonder when we sacrifice, why?  What do we do that is not really a God directive, that we do as man made ordinance.  We might want to check and ask ourselves the question, does God really tell us to do that?  Is it really biblical?

Father, open my eyes to see you for who you really are, to understand you the want me to understand you, and then to live the way you direct me.  In Jesus Name. Amen

Resignation
Seek ye first the kingdom of God. Matthew 6:33
Incline your heart to Me, and attune your ear to My voice. For I have an urgent message to give you.
Do not set out to establish your own designs. I have already set in motion My divine will and purpose, and I would not have you interfere.
Resign all into My hands--your loved ones as well as your own self. Be obedient to the still small voice. Fret not about carnal things, but concern yourself first and always with spiritual values.

Father forgive me when I allow carnal things to get in the way of my view of you.  In Jesus Name. Amen

Yesterday, we had had rain in the night, so the students from school who were on a field trip and staying in tents came home early and wet, it was a quiet day at school.  After school I did scrap the wall of the garage but I am waiting for dry weather to paint.  I also made preparations for DAR meeting in Sr Center in Hampden.  Watched some on tv about 9/11.  Our elementary students had a time of recognizing the occasion.

The Forces of Intercession

We know not what we should pray for as we ought; but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.  Romans 8:26

Bring the struggles within your soul to Me in prayer. It is the movement within you of the forces of intercession which you are feeling. It is not a personal struggle. The resolutions shall come as you pray, not as you search for wisdom as an end in itself.
Seek Me, and you shall know. You shall understand more than you dream possible, and your inner peace shall deepen.

Seeking God is more important than any effort I can personally make to accomplish anything.  Think about it, what you and I do is insignificant, really unimportant, but when we give it to God he can use it and it becomes important and significant in his eyes.

Father, help me to be a willing vessel, willing to live visually insignificant life but knowing that every life is significant in your eyes. In Jesus Name. Amen.

Yesterday after school, I came home and started painting, it was a beautiful day, actually quite warm.  I stopped to help Dad burn off a field, one of the preventive planting fields.  I am glad we were able to do it, because it rained last night.  Now he will be able to work it.

Frugality and Supply
Better is little with the fear of the Lord than great treasure and trouble therewith. Proverbs 15:16

You shall have My blessing as you bear the yoke, and in carrying My burdens there shall always be joy. I have called you for this ministry, and I will supply your needs so that you will not be weighed down with financial cares. Be willing to do without until I supply. Such as is needful I will give. learn to discern the difference between necessities and luxuries, and be content with modest things.

Does this say anything significant to any of you?  I think it is something we could all take to heart.  Sometimes it is easy to forget, that we do have what we need, and go and get something really that we could do without.  We are called to ministry and it may be to just be a parent, or spouse, or maybe a single person and God is looking at our faithfulness in what ever area he has called us to.  With that faithfulness to our calling, he will expand our horizons as we desire to be used in other ways.  He will supply our needs.

Father, help me to faithful to your calling in my life this day.  In Jesus Name. Amen.

Yesterday after school I went to Cando and cleaned the church, then spent a little time with Matt and mavis and on to Bible Study at Dick's.

Launch Out
And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus Matthew 14:29
Launch out, yea, launch out upon
My might power and limitless resources.

For, lo, if you would enter into all that I have for you,
you must walk by faith upont he waters.
You must relinquish forevr your doubts.
For I will carry you, and I will sustain you by My power.

What is it in our life that we aren't ready to let go and let God?  I am just as guilty as each of you.  God is calling us to trust him, he is better able to manage our lives than we are.

Father, thank you for being so patient with us and for repeatedly coming and helping us, especially when we have failed again and again.  Make yourself real in our lives this day.  In Jesus Name. Amen

Yesterday it rained and actully quite a bit. though there was a time when it was nice during the day.  After school I went to Devils Lake and got more paint so I am ready when we do get a nice day.

A Door of Utterance
They went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following Mark 16:20
Behold I set before you a door of utterance. You shall open your mouth, and I will fill it. You shall glorify Me, and your own vessel shall be an open channel for the river of My grace. You shall bring healing (and) hope. I shall endue you with power from on high, and I shall magnify My word so that as you speak it forth I will confirm it, even with miracles following.

God wants to use us, he wants to fill our mouth with the words to say.  Who does God want you to encourage today.  We tend to think of those we see out in the world, but what about our own family.  Our spouse, or children or closest friends, could they be the ones that God wants us to bless?

Yesterday we were here at home.  Jack was in the field cutting the unplanted areas so that they can be burned.  I was painting and also cleaning eves troughs.   It was a good day, but I was tired by the end.  I want to redo a flower bed, or atleast part of it, so Iwas raking there, not just sure what and how yet.  This morning I awoke to a loud boom, thunder and lightening and a storm that passed through quickly, so everything go watered and refreshed.

A Fresh Move of Faith
No man, having put his hand to the plough and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God. Luke 9:62
Believe Me for new things. Venture forth in trust. It is time to thrust forward in a new spearhead, a fresh move of faith. Fight procrastination as you would resit evil, for surely it is the enemy of good.
Put forth your hand to the plow and look not back, neither count the cost. I will repay you int he currency of eternity. Keep your eyes on Me and walk humble.

Is there something that you have a hard time dealing with?  Do look back at past mistakes and they keep you from going forth? We are challenged to forget the past and go forth.  I encourage you to ask for God's help to burn past bridges and live this day as a new day and to go forth.

Father, show me the things in my past that keep me from going forth, help me in Jesus name to let go and let God, and go forth with a new determination to live my life in the light of your word.  In Jesus Name. Amen.

Yesterday mark and Julie were here with the airplane when we got home from church.  We ate here and then drove to Bismarck, after supper together we left Bismarck and drove home, it was a beautiful moonlight night and we were home about midnight.  Have a great day.

The Dynamic of Miracles
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you Acts 1:8
O My child, lie quietly in My hand. The dynamic of miracles is here. Your own weakness is of no consequence, for I would vest you with My power. Your insignificance shall be swallowed up in My Presence.
My Presence is all about you, even all through you. Unless you resist Me, you cannot fail, for I cannot fail and you are in Me, kept by the power of God Strengthen your heart with this truth.

Thank you Lord for those encouraging words, it isn't about you or I it is about God manifested in our lives through the Holy Spirit.

Yesterday, I went to the Garden Dwellers event at Churches Ferry, it is something I always enjoy and I like to learn so I took part in three classes.  When I left there I went back to the church to finish cleaning and came home.  Dad had gotten me a ladder so I could get up on the west side of the house, it is done and it does look a lot better.  Jerrys children like to come over to shoot basketball so they were here while I was outside, I started on the west side of the garage.  Once I have started it is easy to keep going and the days have been really beautiful, I stay out as late as I can.  I hope that all of you are having a good weekend, too.  We love you.

Flesh and Blood
Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God 1 Corinthians 15:50
Whatsoever is of the flesh is flesh;
but when you allow My Spirit to have free course,
then those things that shall be accomplished
both within and through you
will be truly the life of God
For My Spirit is the Spirit of Life.

We need to yield to the spirit of God to enter into his kingdom, that means yielding our selves to him.  Sometimes it is really hard to separate spirit from world to recognize the difference.I think we all have a challenge with that.

Father, help us to recognize when something is of you and when it isn't.  In Jesus name.  Amen.

Yesterday was school, and afterwards I painted on the house.  Jerry's children came over and played basketball outside while was out there working.  It was a really beautiful day.

Rely on My Faithfulness
You are kept by the power of God through faith 1 Peter 1:5
Do not be anxious. My Spirit shall direct your steps. You need have no fear. There is never a place where you walk that I have not preceded you. There are many times when your faith wavers. Take no account of it. I am keeping you even when you do not feel strong. You must rely on My faithfulness--not on your feelings.
Your strength will vary from day to day, but My power is always available to you as you yield to the Holy Spirit.

Father, I thank you for your word, you have walked ahead of me and are behind me, and beside me, Help to step out and take each step knowing that you are with me.  In Jesus Name.  Amen.

Yesterday after school I went to Devils Lake to do errands and get more paint, I was able to paint for a while in the evening.  The house is looking much better.  I am glad that I took the leap and decided to really paint all of it.  Some of you have plans for this weekend, I will be praying for you and have a good weekend.  I think that the Wright family is probably at the state fair right now.

The Vineyard of Prayer
He maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. Romans 8:27
The days are heavy with burdens that need to be borne upon the shoulders of faithful prayer warriors. Where are those who are willing to make themselves available for this ministry?  You cannot in yourself lay this ministry upon your soul, but as you place yourself at the disposal of the Holy Spirit. He will use you as a channel when the needs arise. I am calling My Spirit-filled believers to labor in the vineyard of prayer. Rejoice to be granted so sacred a task.

Nothing really changes outside of prayer,  we have a choice, do we want to be sensitive to God's calling us to pray?  Have we seen the results of prayer?  What does prayer mean to us?  What does it do in us and for us?  Does it change our attitude towards those around us.  I appreciate the missions letters that we get, they remind me to pray and tell me the needs, they make the people real.

Father, help our hearts to be sensitive to what you are saying to us today, help us to respond to you.  In Jesus Name. Amen

Yesterday,  was a school day, after school I came home and painted on the house.  It is 17 years ago when I was painting the house this color and since I have probably painted it a few times, but right now it really needs to really be painted so I need to get some more paint.  I really enjoy being outside the evenings have been beautiful.

Sufferings Ahead
Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church Colossians 1:24
There are sufferings yet to be accomplished in the body of the Church that I was not able to suffer on the cross. Be patient, hold steady through the days that lie ahead, and know that the trials and sufferings are working toward a consuming glory.
Praise Me when the most difficult thing to do is to praise. This is the victory that overcomes the world.

We get a bit scared when we hear the word sufferings,  we want every thing to go rosie and nice, but life isn't that way, and when things are easy we think we can do it ourselves, but the sufferings the trials cause us to look for help, some look for it in temporary way, but God wants us to look for it in a permanent way, seeking his help.  What do you see as suffering in your life today?

Yesterday, Dad had an appointment in Grand Forks, and he also had a water pump to deal with, it was a trial that he doesn't like and they worked on itt til it was dark.  I hope that it works for a long time now.  I got my tooth fixed and I am really happy about that.  I did some more painting on the house.

Sound the Trumpet
Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain...for the day of the Lord cometh, for it is nigh at hand Joel 2:1

Be alert. Be vigilant. Sound the alarm from My holy mountain. Challenge my people that they be not overtaken by the enemy because they have a false sense of security. By My Spirit you shall overcome, and by My Word you shall prevail.
Gird on the armor of My holiness, and speak the word of faith. Victory is yours I will send My delivering angel to stand beside you.

We need to be covered by God's protection, because it is the only truly protection that we have.  I like to pray for each of you and it usually happens on my way to school.  I pray for the armour to be covering you.  I encourage you to think about praying in that way yourself:
Helmet of Salvation
Breast plate of righteousness
loins gird about with truth
feet shod with gospel of peace
caring the sword of the spirit
covered with the shield of faith

Father today we come to you and pray for your protection as we live this day, we can have confidence that you are with us and covering us.  In Jesus Name. Amen

Yesterday, another day of school. Glenda is back so they are getting the elementary more organized and I can focus on the students that I am responsible to help.  After school I did some more painting, it was just a good day to be outside.
