Only by a Person
I am the living bread which came down from heaven; if any man
eat of this bread, he shall live for ever.
John 6:51
I will bless you when your hearts turn to Me in earnestness and sincerity. From where shall your help come, except from the Lord: You search in vain for satisfaction from your worldly possessions.
Your soul can be nourished only by a person--not by any thing; and the only person adequate to meet the hunger of your soul is the Person of the Lord Jesus Christ, throu the ministry of the blessed Holy Spirit.

I reflect on a conversation with a person at church yesterday, the thoughts today seem so appropriate for her.  What is success?  What will the world remember?  Is it the fancy clothes, big buildings?  or is it that you truly cared?  What has left the greatest impression on your life/

Fathr, search our hearts and thoughts and motives and lead us in the way you would have us to go.  In Jesus Name. Amen.

Yesterday, Dad didn't go to church, he has a cold, after church we decorated for Christmas, I came home took a nap and focused on getting fabric ready for project at school.  It was a beautiful day outside.

Harmony of Purpose
Whosoever...forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.
Luke 14:33
Those who seek to live in obedience to My commandments will be brought into conformity with My nature, and these will I use to fulfill My purposes. Do not men do likewise?  When a man chooses a workman, he takes into account not only his natural capabilities for the task, but also whether or not there is harmony of thought, purpose, character, and vision. If a man's heart is not in his work, his abilities will not be enough in themselves to make him a success.

Wow, this really tells us how important it is to do a job from the heart.  whatever the task, to really put our all into it.  Whether it is menial or significant for us to do our best.  God isn't going to have us do great things for him until we have shown that we are willing and yielded to do the simple tasks and then he will give us greater tasks to do for him.  So what are you doing that sometimes doesn't seem significant?  that you don't like that you would rather not do?  Do your tasks faithfully and as unto the Lord, and he will honor your effort.  Where I work the job might not seem exciting to some, the pay isn't great, but I know it is where God wants me, that is what matters.

We have been away for a few days,  it was a fun time in South Dakota, Janet and her family were excellent hostesses,  the food was great, the weather was unbelievable, and we are thankful that we could spent that time with each of you.   We got home last night before 8 p.m. and after a good night of rest, this is a new day and we rejoice in it.

Endurance
Hope maketh not ashamed, because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
Romans 5:5
My child, do not flinch under My disciplines. I never send more than you can endure. Can you accept the cup of suffering as readily as you embrace joy? You can do so in greater degrees as your trust in Me increases.
My love never fails, even when it brings you pain. It is in the patient endurance of afflictions that the soul is seasoned with grace.

I think this is self explanatory, and God is with us whatever and whenever and however. and he is walking by our side and helping to carry us through.

Yesterday at school the food students prepared us a Turkey dinner and they did a really great job, one in the class didn't get to participate because she doesn't come to school on time and didn't come when they planned, it was hard to see her hurt and I did have an opportunity to encourage her, because she is also the student the clashed with me recently and ended up  walking out of the school when the elementary principal tried to talk to her.  I let her know that I did really care what happened to her, and yet the discipline was good, because she thinks she can get by with doing whatever she wants and it isn't fair to the other students.  After school I did some errands in the area and came home, we will be leaving soon to go to the train station to get Julie.

The Highroad of Absolute Surrender
I am the way.
John 14:6
Come close to Me. I have consolations for your soul that surpass your sharpest grief. I have walked through the deepest waters, and I am with you as you experience your baptism of sorrow. It is the path that leads to the gate of glory. and the Father waits to greet you there. It is not heaven of which I speak. It is a blessedness of spirit given to those who have passed through tribulations and have set their feet on the highroad of absolute surrender. From this place there is no turning back.

The things that happen in our lives, things we say we would have liked to have avoided, but God has seen us through and given us grace, so that we are drawn closer to thee.  Thank you Lord for your grace, it was sufficient, thank you for your presence and carrying us through.  In Jesus Name. Amen.

Yesterday after school, I went to Cando and cleaned the church, and came home.  Dad was in the field but came in soon,  it was a good day.

The Soul is Directional
Jesus...said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things but one thing is needful; and Mary hath chosen that good part,
which shall not be taken away from her.

Luke 10:41-42
My people need direction. There are many pressures which influence them, but they need to hear a clear voice giving them the wisdom of God.
The soul is directional, and any heart turned toward Me in an attitude of true worship shall receive from Me a quickening flow of life. It cannot be otherwise.

Father, help us to seek you for direction and to be careful that we aren't influenced by the world's standards.  In Jesus Name. Amen.

Yesterday, Sunday School and church, we ate with Michael and Colleen at Cenex and then came home. Dad had me bring the vehicle home while he drove the tractor home.  I had a really good nap and I think that dad slept, too.  So we were just here and enjoyed the day.

On the Waters of Sorrow
Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man,
the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
1 Corinthians 2:9

I am coming to you walking on the waters of the sorrows of your life; yes, above the sounds of the storm you shall hear My voice call your name.
Never despair, for I am watching over and caring for you. Be not anxious. I am working out the details of circumstances so that I may bless you and reveal Myself to you in a new way.

Is there something that you sorrow about, that creates anxiety?  Is it something that God is waiting to help you deal with?  I believe it is, because he cares about everything, even the hairs on our head are numbered.  Yesterday, I visited with someone in Devils Lake who recently lost her husband in a sudden death, she told me how God is working in her life and helping her to deal with the loss in her life.

Father, what in my life do you desire to help me deal with?  What is it that you want me to listen to your voice to hear your directions?  Help me to yield to you in that area.  In Jesus Name. Amen

Yesterday I had a DAR meeting and then met with ladies who are starting a fiber guild in Devils Lake.  I don't know if I feel that I am much of an artist like them, but I enjoyed the experience of spending time with them.  And met some old friends from previous experiences.  I did some errands, and came home.  I spent a little time with Frank and Dorothy and then went to check on Dad.  He was able to finish the field.  Everyday we wonder if this is the last nice day that we will have.

Tensions Build Fortitude
Blessed is the man that endureth temptation.
James 1:12
Many perplexities bring you closer to Me, for as you seek wisdom and need courage, you are driven to me for help. These are the times you become pliable in My hands. It is the moments of crisis that reveal either a man's strength or his weakness. It is the tensions of life that build fortitude or expose fear.
Know that I keep you, that I love you, that I fully understand. Cast yourself wholly upon My mercy. Pray, knowing that the request is already granted and the help already provided.

What encouragement.  God is truly just waiting to hear from us.

Thank you Father for being there, for being patient and for being gracious.  Guide our steps this day.  In Jesus Name.  Amen.

Yesterday, our absent students showed up in school again, we can't quite figure her out,  she isn't happy with me, but I have a position that is to create a place for students to study,  she doesn't watn to do that.  I visited with teachers and with Julie Ann, came home and cleaned and sewed in the evening.  I am on a roll.  Dad is working in the field.

A Covert in the Storm
Humble yourselves...casting all your care upon him
1 Peter 5:6-7
Be at peace, for in me there is covert in the storm. My love remains changeless whatever winds may blow. My grace will sustain you however deep may be the night.
Nothing harms the trusting soul though calamity be his companion. In affliction there shall be comfort, for he who abides in Me shall not know desolation. I protect, I provide, I enrich. He who loves Me is supremely blessed; My grace is his strength, and I am his salvation.

Are we willing to let go and allow God to do that in our lives? He wants to be all of that to us. Yesterday when I got home from school there was a message from a friend who was being attack again where she works, sometimes life seems so unfair.  We prayed, she had called
friends to pray for her, and when I read what she wrote, God was with her, and there was nothing wrong with her asking for prayer.  Do we sometimes try to carry a burden that God didn't mean for us to carry?  Are we willing to let go and let God?  to acknowledge our need....

Yesterday at school Online Foods students were to take a test on the computer, and they had only yesterday to do it.  I had to focus on making sure that they did it and two are students on IEP's(Independent Education Plans)  so I read the test to them, and sat right with them.  One of the students hit the key kind of hard and it knocked him off the internet and he couldn't get back into the test, it was a one try thing.  so we had to figure out another way for him to do the test.  It was an interesting day.  In the evening I started sewing the school bags.  Dad is working in the field.  Thank you Lord for each nice day.

Godly Sorrow Versus Carnal
A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance:
but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken
Proverbs 15:13
Overmuch sorrow causes the heart to fail. If you would be a rejoicing Christian, the griefs of the carnal man must be laid aside.
To bemoan any unpleasant natural circumstance accomplishes nothing but a heaping up of misery. Undue distress about untoward happenings is devastating to the soul. The only kind of sorrow that I can use for your good is the godly sorrow of the true repentance.
Turn to Me in every trial, and give it all to Me.

What is making you and I sad this day?  Is there anything that we can do to change it?  Are we waisting our time with that kind of attitude and spirit?

Father, search my heart this day and show me what you desire to do in and through me to encourage those about me.  In Jesus Name. Amen.

Yesterday, after school I went to Cando, and met with Mary Jarrett(they are going to Africa to a Deaf School) we are making plans to send things with them.  Right now the plan is for school supplies.  So we are going to make a simple school bag for each child, and include some school supplies.  After cleaning the church I came home and in the evening cut out about 56 bags, so we are ready to sew.

Perfecting of Soul
Now the God of peace...make you perfect in every good work.
Hebrews 13:20-21
If you set up barriers through pride or self-defense, you hinder the progress of your soul. Be as a little child, and stay open to the flow of My life in you: so shall you be spared many a bitter disappointment and much weary striving. Only in this way can you keep your balance and poise. Thus shall your perfecting be accomplished.
Nothing you could ever do for Me can be more important than this--the perfecting of your own soul.

God really cares most about who we are, what we do with the way God made us.  It isn't about what other people think it is about what happens between us and God.  We need to listen to him. He has made us each individually and he is working in our lives to make us into what is really important to him.

Yesterday, was the day parents came to school to each lunch with the elementary students.  So I took photos of them with their parents.  After school I took Jerry and Julie's children to Devils Lake to meet Julie and Alona.  Then I took Alvin and Talaya to see their mom and on to do some errands.  At 7 we went to the Path office and they walked to the courthouse to recognize children who need adoptive homes and children who have been adopted.  It was a good day.

God's Mercy
Charity shall cover the multitude of sins
1 Peter 4:8
If it is true that human love covers a multitude of sins, how much more true is it of the divine love of God the Father! Knowing My deep love for you, your own heart will no longer condemn you. My mercies are everlasting. My kindness, abundant.
My grace extends to the least of My children, and My tenderness shall make you strong. I go before you daily to prepare your way, and you will be accompanied by My goodness and My mercy.

God is with us for whatever we are experiencing.

Yesterday was an interesting day.  Jeanette our school cook is having some medical problems and was out, the person called to work in the kitchen had no knowedge, so I did help some, and they were fed.  The I have a students, who only comes to school because her dad says she has to and she doesn't study, she just distracts the students who are trying to study.  So in the end she got mouthy with me, and refused to go to the office, so I called in the elementary principal, the only one in authority and she came, well the student wouldn't cooperate for her and ended up walking out the door.  so we will see what happens now.

It was a beautiful day and they have finished the wheat.  Thank you Lord.  the combine was in the beans, too.

Heart-Purity
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive
1 John 1:9
It is not by grieving over your sins that they are forgiven. My forgiveness is in constant operation and you need only accept it. The cleansing of your heart and the restoration of your joy depends upon your full confession and willingness to repent and to renounce your sin. Exercise your soul toward the achievement of heart-purity. Until this work is accomplished (and maintained), you will not have inner peace.
Seek My face in repentance until you have yielded to Me all that distresses you.

Repent, and turn and commit to keep on living holy, that about sums it up.

Yesterday after church I went to Devils Lake and met Ann for dinner.  Don had an ODD Fellow meeting and they were going to Lori's to help with sewing for the baby's room.  Lori is on bed rest, her blood pressure shot up.

I was tired and came home, it was a good day. I went to services at Zoar in the evening.

An Injection of New Life
Whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate
to be conformed to the image of his Son
Romans 8:29
All you do for Me in ministering to others is part of My own working within you; for whenever you bless another, you bring an injection of new life and vitality into your own spirit and personality.
Your character is that which I shape from the broken fragments of all your testings; therefore, accept the trials with a grateful heart. I will use all things to bring you into conformity to My image if you will trust Me.

I always remember Maxine Frank who could encourage a child with whatever they did.  It has left a lasting impression on me and I desire to pass it on to others, and everytime we did bless some one or say something encouraging  we are also encouraged.  Sometimes I wonder what we gain by hurting or putting someone down, we gain nothing good.    Granted there are people and times that we need to be corrective with, but how can we do it possitive.  I have a couple of students like that at school.  But thankfully only a couple, the rest of the students are really great.

Yesterday, it was beautiful, and I really enjoyed the day.  I cleaned and cleaned somemore, spent time outside.  Some of Jerry's children came over to play basketball.  In the evening, I came in when it was dark, I didn't have things all done, when here comes Dad with the young fellow helping with harvest, and I needed to fix supper.  It happened, he was most pleasant.  We haven't had anyone here to eat with us for a long time.

The Gift of Forgiveness
Launch out into the deep,. and let down your nets for a draught.
Luke 5:4
O My child, come to Me--I want to give you a new gift. I want you to see all people as being under the shed sacrifice of the blood of Christ.
He has died for all. His forgiveness encompasses all. Tell them the Good News. It is the confidence in your own heart that will engender faith to receive within the hearts of others. Freely forgive all, as you have freely loved all. Those to whom you extend My forgiveness will come to experience it for themselves.

Do we have confidence in our faith and relationship with Jesus?  Is he so real to us that we want to share him with those around us?  Think about that today, what does Jesus mean to us?

Yesterday was an interesting day,  I have a student that doesn't believe in doing work in stuy hall and consequently end up sitting in the office for one study hall, and the second study hall he sat and pouted. Jeanette the cook went to the Dr. for an MRI, left one of the students who helps her to serve lunch, another teacher helped him and after dinner I washed dishes, another gal came in for something and helped me, so we did get it done.  After school I went to Emily Plemels to see her baby and give her a gift for her baby.  Then when I got home I ate with Julie and the children. It was Alona's birthday, they men were harvesting.  Thank you Lord for another nice day.

Affliction, No Stranger
Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him
Job 13:15
Affliction is no stranger to the child of God. Darkness falls upon both saint and sinner. Those who know Me intimately will find a deep joy in the midst of life's bitterness.
I do not smooth out the way for My loved ones, for how then could they testify of My provision?
I prepare you in order to use you in the hour of crisis. The crisis is not the time to dry for deliverance, saying, "Lord, save me," but to dry, "Lord, use me."

I have just read an article that said the very same thing, it told about someone going through a dry difficult time but he compared it to a bible story, where the person had experienced the same.  Remember in the midst of what is happening, God is still with you and is preparing you for greater things.  As long as our lives are easy, do we see a need for God?  Not really, we need challenges to draw us nearer to him.

Yesterday, we were back to school, one of the students went with me to Cando and we sold the rest of the annual ads, she did a really good job and she is kind of a shy girl.  I was impressed.  I didn't do much in the evening.  Dad had been working in the field, but not harvesting.  I went to bed early and had several calls after I was there.  We are thankful that Brenna has had little Natalie.

Humbled hearts
How canst thou say...Brother, let me pull out of the mote that is in thine eye,
when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
Luke 6:42
You have listened to My words as though they were of little consequence. You cannot resist My Spirit without suffering pain, and you cannot turn a deaf ear to My words without falling into the snare of the enemy.
Look no more to My hand to supply freely your needs when you have not cleansed your hands and come to Me with a broken and a contrite heart.

That is a strong word.  I need to evaluate what I say and look at my own life first,  Am I doing the same thing myself?

Father help us to search our hearts and look introspect fully at our own lives and actions.

Yesterday was a day at home, and I should ahve been thinking about the people who have served our country, but I guess that I was enjoying being able to be here and since it was so beautiful I was able to be outside and I loved it.  I do find the peace and quiet of the outdoors a good time to think and pray so I guess that is what I did with the day.  I helped Dad move trucks about noon and they combined, Jerry helped when he came home and another fellow came, too.  Late in the day I went over to Frank and Dorothy's took them some soup and we ate together, then I drove to Cando for bible Study.  I got there early enough so I could visit with Matt and Mavis and get some groceries. It was a good day.

We are praying for Shaun and Brenna today.  They are at the hospital by now.

Dismiss with Dispatch
Jesus....saith unto him, Go home to thy friends,
and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee.
Mark 5:19

Nothing I am doing would seem strange to you if you had been more attentive to My voice.
I can lead you only as you wait upon Me for guidance. Man will always take you down the wrong path. It is folly to stumble along in blindness. I am your friend. Can you not trust My love? Would I ever harm you? Do I not give you a full measure of joy?

In the midst of a world that is hurting for a variety of reasons, mostly because of the sin issue, we don't began to see the good side of things, God is doing great things, peoples lives are being changed, we tend to only be told the negative.  Help us today to look for the positive that is happening about us.  First the fact that many people gave their lives that we could enjoy this day in the freedom that we have.

Yesterday, the students in grades 7-12 were taken in two groups to see the display at the Audi in Cando, it was about Fort Lincoln when it was a place where German, Japanese and Italian people were kept there during the war.  It was very good. I waited to the last study hall and then drove over to see it.  I cleaned the church and it as dark by the time I was coming home.  They finished harvesting another field of wheat.

On Doing the Father's Work
Every tree is known by his own fruit
Luke 6:44

There is a day coming when you will regret your lethargy, and you will ask, "Why did we leave the vineyard of the Lord untended?' Those things that have occupied you will appear for what they are--chaff and worthlessness.
I have fashioned you for better things. Do not fail Me. Place your life under My divine control and learn to live in the full blessing of My highest will.
I will strengthen you and comfort you; I will lead you by the hand.

That is strong.  The things that we think are important aren't really very significant.  God doesn't really care about them, Lord help me to see the things I do in the light of your eyes, what do you want me to remove as being unworthy of you.  In Jesus Name.

Yesterday was the big day to sell annual ads.  I had a good team with me and they really did a good job.  Before long we will have all of that wrapped up as a done job.  I will be changing ads and making new ones.  I was at the school til about 5 finishing the task, also spent time with sub who is done as of yesterday, and with the guidance counselor concerning a student in school.  Dad and Chuck were combining, thank you Lord for each nice day.  But we need quite a few more.

Angels Are Separating
The harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.
Matthew 13:39

You have been aware of the presence and ministry of angels. You, as believers, are being gathered unto the Father. Meanwhile the children of wrath and disobedience are being separated and gathered to each other.
Know this when you would wonder why one is brought in and another goes out never to return. Question it not, for you are seeing this prophecy fulfilled, at least in part. It shall be accelerated as the end draws nearer.
You shall find in this understanding much peace of heart.

It helps me to understand the why of what is happening in the world.  To recognize God's presence in my life, and that he is with me.  He allows the hard things in life to mold and shape me into the image he wants.

Father, help me today to yield to your will for this day.  In Jesus Name. Amen.

Yesterday we honored our pastor and those in ministry in our church and after the service we had dinner together.  After a nap, we were with the Sr's here at Hampden for their supper.
We are thankful for each nice day that we are given.

Key to Joy
Whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life
for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.
Mark 8:35
Surrender is the key to joy. By release the soul is freed. Bondage is the twin of selfishness. To hold is to lose, and to free is to gain.
Meditation opens the door to revelation, and revelation brings liberation. Test it in any given situation. You will find that you hold in your own hand the instrument of life. It will work like a magic eye to open the heaviest door.

As we seek God, he will show us the way to go......
Father, help me to keep my eyes on you as I face this day and the challenges in it, help me to remember that you are with me, you are caring me through the difficult times.  In Jesus Name. Amen.

I have been gone for a couple of days,  Leaving on Friday and going to South Dakota to get Brutus and coming back on Saturday.  I was able to see some of you and that was good.  It looks like a beautiful day to day.  They are harvesting wheat here.

Expect the Unexpected
Philip went....and preached Christ unto them. And the people...
gave heed unto those things which Philip spake,
Hearing and seeing the miracles which he did
Acts 8:5-9

O My child, let Me speak to you, and let My Spirit direct your life. I may lead you in unexpected ways, and ask things of you that are startling, but I will never guide you amiss.  You shall go as Philip went--at the direction of the spirit--into the places that are out of the way, and bring light on My Word to those who are in need.

I feel this word is quite self-explanatory.  God may lead us in ways we haven't anticipated, and he is waiting for us to be willing vessels.  This morning Julie Ruth had a video for me to see on a site, and it was about martyrs in Iran,  I feel the need to be challenged to be praying for believers around the world.  You and I live in a very protective place, but it isn't that way for many believers.....

Father, create in our hearts a burden for those who need us to uphold them in prayer.  Give us wisdom on how to pray.  and help us to trust you to guide us in this.  In Jesus Name. Amen.

We do not have school today.  Some would call it the hunting holiday, but it is suppose to be the day we get off because we didn't take a day off for parent teacher conferences.  I enjoyed some time outside after school and Chuck and Jack were able to combine.  I don't know how wet it still is.

Take No thought for Tomorrow
Consider the lilies of the field....they toil not, neither do they spin: and yet .
...even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

Matthew 6:28-29

Let go your earthly cares.
I do not forbid you to work, only to worry. The best way to break the power of worry is to refuse to take thought for tomorrow. Today is rarely a problem. Most anxious thoughts are related to the future. Put all of tomorrow into My keeping.
For today you need Wisdom. For tomorrow you need Faith.

This is what we talked about at Bible Study last night, it fits right in.  Fear, worry, we waste our time and energy.

Yesterday was a good day, we were making plans for selling annual ads, I really appreciate the senior girls, they are mature and good leaders,  after school I went to Cando and did more cleaning at church.  I took supper to Gladys Neidlinger and we ate together.  then to Bible Study, I got there just as Dad drove up.    He had gotten the equipment set up for harvest and had to do it by himself.

Run with Patience
Let us lay aside every weight, and run with patience the race that is set before us
Hebrews 12:2

I could by adversity strip from you the comforts of life,
but I will bless you in double portion,
if of your own accord you do as the apostle Paul and lay aside
every weight,
resisting the many temptations that continually beset you
as you run with patience the course I set before you.

What is weighing you down? what could you eliminated in your life that is not necessary?  Are you feeling overwhelmed by all that is happening in your life and around you?  I keep feeling that I need to eliminate the clutter about me, the things that weigh me down, that so easily beset me.  I can not speak for any of you, but only for my self, God is not the author of confusion, so If I feel confused why?  What can I do to change my circumstances?

Father, we give you this day, speak into our hearts your desire for this day.  In Jesus name. Amen

Yesterday was a normal day of school.  There is always interesting dynamics, after school I came home and rested, the drama club did their play and I took Mary Werner with me to see it.  She does a good job  of leading the students and they did a good job of acting.

Stay Beneath My Wing
When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee.
Isaiah 43:2

Will I create, and will I not have it in My power to destroy? Is it not written that the potter breaks one vessel that He may shape a new one (see Jeremiah 18:4)? Yes, I will bring My will to pass, and man will know that his will is like a broken straw when pitted against the Almighty.
But My people will know the protection of their God. Stay beneath My wings, and I will make you a tower of strength.

I read that verse and thought, Do you think he wants to shape us into something different that we are.  We had a discussion at Bible Study, about the circumstances in our lives that have caused us to do what we do....leaving farming, preaching, doing adult care, etc.  Would we have chosen this road if we had been doing good at where we were at?  I am daily encouraged by this verse, 2 Corinthians 1:3-5:
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort thsoe in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.  God has taken those disappointments, those failures, those hurts(when we allow him to) and has used us to be an encouragement to someone else.  What in your life does God want to use to help someone else?

Father, search my heart and speak to me, help me to listen to your voice and follow in your steps, thank you for picking me up and caring me when i couldn't seem to care the load.  In Jesus Name.

Yesterday it went better at school, Mr Docktor isn't back yet, and I am not sure how he is doing, but Band went better, and having a regular schedule really helped.  After school I took three girls to Cando to sell ads, On my way over I thought, all three of these girls have never done this before, I am real impressed with how they handled themselves, they did really well.  The businesses there are really great, and very supportive.  So it was a good day, with the time change it is dark by supper time, so we drove home in the dark.  But it was really moonlight outside.  I did some more quilt sewing,  there is another baby due in our community so I want to get it done for them.

The Ways of the Spirit
The men which journeyed with him stood speechless,
hearing a voice, but seeing no man.
Acts 9:7

Do not grieve My Spirit and do not quench His power when He is moving in your own or another vessel. My purifying work is being done in the sacred moments when My anointing is resting upon a soul. Be aware that as a witness, you stand on holy ground, and reverence should be your attitude.
Like Saul on the road to Damascus, to him were spoken clear words, while others heard only a sound.

I always feel that it is not appropriate for me to make a suggestion to any of you, unless you ask my opinion, and even then I hesitate, because I have no idea what God wants to do in your life, or is doing.  You need to listen to his voice, he is gentle and kind, are you hearing a voice like that?  He isn't going to be pushing or demanding, are you hearing a voice like that?
As you walk with God and desire to be his vessel, you will come to know and understand his way of speaking to you.  Because you are individually created and designed by him, and there is no one else like you.

Father, help us to learn to know you and to understand when you are speaking to us.  In Jesus Name. Amen.

Yesterday, Teen Challenge was in Cando, this time at the Brethren Church, we were there to hear them for Sunday School and then for Church, it is really encouraging to see and hear how God is working in their lives.  After church we didn't stay for dinner, we were taking an old car to Clint Potolny at Fordville.  We didn't stop at Rose Potolny's house and when we got home there were messages on the machine from her, I felt bad, but I did not know anything about Dad's plans, he doesn't tell me.  I called her and talked to her.  It was a nice day, we are thankful for that.

The Course Lies Dead ahead
Thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory
through our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 15:57

My Spirit broods upon the waters, even upon the waters of difficulty. Be not dismayed, neither be turned aside. Set your heart with even greater diligence to follow the Spirit. Others may find Me and lose Me again. Be not discouraged. What navigator would set his course by the location of other ships?  You have a harbor to make, and you have a course to follow that lies dead ahead.

Are we on course for God's plans for our lives?  Are we listening to his voice and following his instructions? Some times the directions are simple and easy to follow and sometimes the voice seems to be so faint.......

Father, help my hearing to be tuned into you.  Help me to hear clearly what you desire in my life.  In Jesus Name. Amen

Yesterday was a beautiful day.  The carpet is a no go for now, there are other things that are more important.  I spent as much time outside as I could and loved the day.  Dad got that car that had been sitting in the hanger, out and got it ready to take to Clint Potolny, I helped some with that project.  I am really happy to see it find a home.  I walked around and looked for things to clean up and did some in the garage, but the time got away from me and it was time to go to Sr Center for tricks or treaters, but there weren't very many.  We don't have very many left in our community, they are all grown up.
