Blessing in Adversity
Sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed. Romans 8:18
Adversities are a necessity. They are part of the pattern of life's pilgrimage for every individual; and who can escape them? But I say to you, that for those who walk in Me, and for those who are encircled by the intercessory prayers of My children, I will make of the suffering, yes, I will make of the trials a steppingstone to future blessing (see 2 Corinthians 4:17, 18)
My arms are around you, and never have I loved you more!

2 Corinthians 4:17,18 says: For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us as eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

Yesterday, a person with roots to Hampden was picked up for having sex with a 14 year old, I feel a real sense of hurt for his parents, a few weeks ago it was a boy who had graduated from Starkweather last year, he was picked up for child pornography, again I felt for the hurt his parents must have felt.  This morning I am thinking about the night of Rick Dahl's accident, it was a really tough night for Dad and I we just couldn't go to sleep we hurt so bad,   I sense that these parents must feel like that/ or iniatially feel that way.    Think of all the hurts that are happening aorund us, how many are experiencing feelings that cut to the core and hurt so bad, maybe a broken home, the death of a child, or situations like these that seem to never go away.  We are all going to experience things like this that hurt, but God is there for our hurts, and he wants to walk with us through them.

Father, we lift those people today to you who are hurting and it just doesn't seem to go away.  Give us a compassionate heart toward what they are experiencing and toward them, remembering that sometime we may need that compassion in our lives.  In Jesus Name. Amen.

Yesterday, was a usual day, after school I cleaned some at O'Briens and also raked some of the yard, hope to burn the grass one of these days.
