Total Relinquishment
We have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities  Hebrews 4:15

As you ponder the sufferings of the Lord Jesus Christ, you shall gain insight into your own pain.  Only in prayer and meditation on the Holy Word can understanding come to your heart, and only thus can you be truly comforted in the spirit.
Nothing can remain of self-will if My full purpose is to be accomplished.  Slowly, unrelentingly, each soul moves to his own Gethsemane of total relinquishment of all his cherished personal hopes and on to his own barren Golgotha

It is so hard to let go and let God, and that is really what he wants in each of our lives.  It isn't about you or me or any member of our family, it is about God and his will and desire for us.  What is he speaking to you?  but then if we want to hear from him we have to position ourselves so he can speak to us, that positioning might be to  find a quite place alone, or to be by ourselves in the car, and I realize that when you have children that isn't so easy, but nothing is impossible.  Go in the bath room and close the door, give yourself time to be quiet and think about what God might desire to do in and through you.  Ask him, he isn't deaf, he is waiting for us to come to him and he will answer.

Father, I pray that you would speak to each of us out of your desire to know us and for us to know you.  Quiet our hearts so we can hear from you, help us to stop the roar around us and to listen to you.  Today we pray for the people in the state of North Dakota, for for protection and directions as they battle the elements of weather.  In Jesus Name. Amen

Yesterday, I was busy with letter writing and then getting them in the mail, did some sewing and watched some tv with Dad.  He visited with Frank and Dorothy and Pastor Craig Wentzel came over there while Jack was there and so he got to see Pastor Craig's photos from India.  It was a good day.
