November 9, 2010

Yesterday we were back to school, it was a regular day, after school I went to Devils Lake to do errands and back to school for the two one act plays,  I try to take some photos for the annual.

"Come now, let us reason together," says the Lord. Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.  Isaiah 1:18

Nothing stains quite as sin. It not only leaves a stain in our heart but a residue in our minds. But God's grace is shown in that he doesn't just forgive our sins, he doesn't just forget our sins, he banishes them. They are gone. The stain is removed, the guilt is taken away.  We are clean by his grace.

O the joy your grace gives me, glorious God! I can never thank you or praise you enough for rerouting the whole direction of my life so that it will end, and begin again, in you and your grace.  In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

I think as I read this devotion, of several people who recently have been in my path.  One a little boy in Sunday School who couldn't see that he did any thing wrong.  So he doesn't see that he has sinned, God has to first reveal that to him.  Then a teenage girl, who things she is "good"  I reminded her than none of us are good.  It is so hard to yield to God when we think we are 'good'  God has to first put us in a place to see that we are sinners, and then we can come to him and experience his grace.  We need to be re-reminded of our relationship with God and his grace towards us.

Father open our eyes to see who we are and what you have done for us, make it real in our lives. In Jesus Name.
