Faith and the Delivering Angel
Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear. and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them 1Samuel 17:36

"I slew the lion and the bear," said David, and having thus developed courage, he moved unflinchingly to confront the giant Philistine.  That which had been tried in solitude broke into evidence in the public crisis. It was in this are of faith and courage that he was above his fellows.
Secret faith had its moment of open revelation. Build inner faith from the lesser challenges, and it will be your delivering angel in the most calamitous moment.

When I started reading this, my first thoughts were: our faith grows, it starts by having faith for small things, praying for small things, and as we see God answering, we then pray for greater things,  Eventually, we can/will  pray about the lions and bears in our lives, but it first started small.  I have likely told you this before, but Grandma Helen would tell about asking God to help her with what to cook for the next meal.  What is your need today? Have you ever thought to ask God to help you?  I encourage you to write down your request and then as you see the answer, write down the answer, and the time it happened.  Your faith will be encouraged as you do.

Father, we thank you for this day, and for you grace and care.  Help us Father to come to you with our needs and to seek you with our heart.  Thank you for hearing and answering.  In Jesus Name. Amen.

Yesterday was a good day, after church and Sunday School, we had our usual nap, cat included!!  In the evening we went to the musical at Zoar Church in Hampden.  Joni Haglin wrote the musical and directed it, it was very well done and with a good gospel message.
